Climate Change

I was reading an interview by Steven Chu. He has been appointed as Energy Secretary by Obama. He is a nobel laurate who won his prize for work in Physics in 1997. After his work in physics, Mr Stephen turned his attention to molecular biology. While at Stanford, he formed BIO-X-a team of physicists,bio-technologists, engineers and medical doctors to study climate change. Before his appointment, Mr Chu, an American Chinese, was teaching physics and bio-technology in the University of California.

In his interview, he has emphasied the need for energy efficiency. This, according to him,is as important as reducing carbon emissions. He also advocates cut in energy consumption in a big way.-- a very very big way.
I am inclined to believe that Mr Chu!s appointment is the most significant appointment by Obama Administration. If the world listens to Chu, the Climate Change Issue can be handled in a proper way. We can then say " choo,choo" to problems arising out of climate change.
